Mother's Day Cupcakes

Baking for me takes me back to my childhood and is one of my earliest memories with my mother. I can remember standing on a chair at the kitchen counter measuring and pouring ingredients and experiencing the pleasure of my finished product. I also remember my mom and all the countless other moms out there who provided the special birthday treats like cupcakes and made of our special days, special. Mother's Day is your day to give back to your Mom. I'm taking pre-orders for Mother's Day Cupcakes. I'll be baking a Strawberry Cupcake with Strawberry Butter Cream Frosting. The cake and the frosting have fresh strawberry puree in them giving them a beautiful pink hue as well as the summer strawberry fragrance we all love. Who said cupcakes are just for kids ?

Who ever said cupcakes are for kids? Kids do love them and adults love them because of the sweet memories of childhood, however this March's cupcake is all about adult flavor and just may stay on my menu for good! The Tiramisu cupcake is a delicate white cake with a chocolate espresso kahlua drizzle, then topped with a mocha butter cream frosting and dusted with cocoa powder and shaved chocolate. It is moist and delicious and surely Tiramisu inspired. After you eat one you'll know why Tiramisu means "pick me up" in Italian!

Cupcake Baking class

I just want to say a special thanks to the culinary students and teachers at the Career Technical Center. I had a great time demonstrating the art of cupcake baking. While I showed off my baking skills today and let them be the taste testers, I"ll be back there on Friday to turn the table around. On Friday I get to be the judge at their baking contest! Baking is a great way to spend some time creating and being creative in the winter months in Michigan. Fox Hill Wedding Show

Pumpkin Cupcakes

It's not to late to place your order for Thanksgiving cupcakes! Cupcakes are wonderful fun and different dessert to serve for your holiday feast, but will still give you the familiar tastes of the day.
